ECTA AGM and final videolinq workshop
The ECTA AGM was held on Wednesday 12th November, in conjunction with the final videolinq workshop for 2008 - Building reslience in young children, presented by Ben McKechnie from the Pathways Health and Research Centre. ECTA Media release - teacher aide time
Kim Walters, President of Queensland’s Early Childhood Teachers Association (ECTA) has reinforced the call from Principal and Parent associations for the State Government to fund full-time teacher aides in Prep classrooms.  

World Teachers Day - 31 October
This is a day on which students, parents and community members can demonstrate their appreciation for the contributions that teachers have made to their community. Internationally World Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the first Friday in October. However as this is usually during Australian school holidays, Australia celebrates the day on the last Friday in October of each year.
