Sustainability in action - right in our backyard
The theme of the art challenge this year is Sustainability in action - right in our backyard.
The challenge provides an opportunity for students, Prep to Grade 3 to learn more about sustainability and for participating schools to share with the community the great work the students are doing.
Through a process of guided inquiry students are encouraged to explore elements of sustainability in home and school environments and to create an artwork that
shares what they have learned.
Student Acknowledgement
Certificates will be awarded to all students and prizes will be awarded in year group categories (P/1 and 2/3)
as follows.
• Creativity and imagination - first prize
($50 book voucher), runner up ($25 book voucher).
• Art work that best represents sustainability -
first prize ($50 book voucher), runner up
($25 book voucher).
• School prize - The school with the highest ratio
of student participation will be awarded an onsite workshop worth $1000 to develop a school vegetable garden or sustainability themed garden sculpture.
